PPM to EC Converter
PPM to EC Converter is an online tool that helps convert nutrient concentration values from PPM (parts per million) to EC (electrical conductivity) used in hydroponics and water testing.
Users can input PPM values to generate the corresponding EC value instantly.
Enter the PPM value and select the scale factor:
How it Works?
- Enter the PPM (parts per million) value you want to convert.
- Input the scale factor (commonly 500, 640, or 700, depending on the TDS meter used).
- Click the "Convert" button to start the conversion.
- The script calculates and displays the corresponding EC (electrical conductivity) value.
What is EC?
EC stands for Electrical Conductivity.
It's a measurement of how well a solution conducts electricity, commonly used to determine nutrient strength in hydroponic and agricultural systems. EC is measured in millisiemens per centimeter (mS/cm).
What is PPM?
PPM stands for Parts Per Million.
It represents the concentration of dissolved solids (usually nutrients or salts) in water. Different TDS meters use different scale factors (like 500, 640, or 700) to convert EC to PPM, which is why specifying the scale is necessary when converting back to EC.
