How the Brightness Calculation Works
This tool converts the HEX color into its red, green, and blue (RGB) values, then applies a standard brightness formula: (R × 299 + G × 587 + B × 114) ÷ 1000. This gives a single brightness score from 0 to 255, where lower values are darker and higher values are brighter.
