Cat Age to Human Years Calculator
This calculator helps you estimate your cat's age in human years. Since cats age differently depending on their size and health, there's no single universal formula. However, a commonly used rule is that the first year of a cat's life equals about 15 human years, the second year equals about 9 human years, and each additional year equals around 4 human years. This tool applies that method to give you a quick approximation.

Why Cat Years Differ
Cats grow and mature much faster than humans in their early years. A one-year-old cat is roughly equivalent to a 15-year-old human teenager. After the first couple of years, their aging slows down relative to humans, which is why each year after two is estimated at about 4 human years.
Breed and Health Considerations
Some breeds and individual cats may age faster or slower depending on genetics, size, and overall health. This calculator provides a general approximation, but your vet can give you a more accurate estimate based on your cat's specific situation.
